Relief for Justin Trudeau as Canada avoids snap election

Justin Trudeau’s Liberal govt had declared a motion by Conservative party as a ‘matter of confidence.’ While the Liberal govt won a re-election last year, it does not have a majority of seats in Parliament and must rely on at least one opposition party to remain in power.
